Crossing the Channel by Plane, Rail or Car
Easyjet
There are a variety of budget airline carriers to choose from. We have found Easyjet to be by far the cheapest and most frequent flying. Click above to find a good qoute. Have a look at Luton, Gatwick or Stanstead to Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble. By all means surf around the net to find the cheapest deal. Remember the earlier you book the flight the cheaper it will be. Ryanair and various others fly from, and to, different airports. Flybe are also a good carrier who fly from Southampton to Chambery (an airport close to La Plagne). Easycar (you get a Mercedes) can be found using this site also.

Train
If you're a rail fan, take a look, (do not click on Ski Train as they only go Weekends, you must click on Tickets). There is a train station at the foot of the La Plagne Mountain called Aime, you need to look for that, or Bourg St-Maurice.

Another option is to travel by car, if you do it this way you will need to cross the channel. We've chosen a few modes for you to look at their prices.

Sea France
P & 0 Ferries
Brittany Ferries
These are among the many ferry companies offering different deals from different ports.

If flying, below are the bus companies which travel to and from the airport to the centre of La Plagne. Both companies offer discounts on groups of 4+. Timetables and booking information can be found here.

Bus from Geneva Transfer time varies depending on time of day
Bus From Lyon Ditto.

If you fly, but would prefer to make your own way to the slopes, (we find this to be the cheapest and best option) you can hire a car from a number of companies. Most of them come under one umbrella, but we have found it is advantageous to shop around.

Car hire
If there are four of you this may be the cheapest option. Make sure you ask for the snow chains just in case.
